Submitting Images at Naples Camera Club

The competition process will go much more quickly and efficiently if everyone has prepared their submissions correctly

and follows a few simple rules of procedure.

 Submitting Prints:

Be sure your print has your name and a title somewhere on the back – NOT on the front.

(Note #3 in the competition guidelines. Prints may or may not be mounted or include mats, but they should not be framed. This keeps submissions somewhat more consistent with one another.  Bring your prints to the competition chair and wait there until your print is registered and you are given a number; then take your print to the table and put the number on it.

Submitting Slides for projection:

Label your slides – before you come to club.

Slides are to be labeled as indicated with the slide held as normally viewed:

1]         The important thumb print (spot) is put in the lower left hand  corner.

2]         A brief title should be printed on the bottom of the frame.

3]         The maker’s name should be on the top of the frame.

For vertical images simply put the title on the left hand side, and your name on the right hand side of the slide.

Bring your slide to the competition chair and see that it is put in the stack for the appropriate category competition.  The slide will be registered and put into the slide tray with the appropriate number matching your name on the registration sheet.
