Pristine Waters: Preserving the Chain of Lakes is appearing now in local stores in Antrim & surrounding counties of Michigan.
This book of photography is sponsored by the Elk River Chain of Lakes Conservation Network, a supra-organization of many environmental groups concerned with protecting the health and vitality of the Elk River Chain of Lakes Watershed.
Photography is by Dana Vannoy of Williamsburg, Michigan. This book of images traces the water emerging in the northern and eastern areas of the watershed through its 55 mile journey through fourteen lakes and several rivers to the mouth of Elk River. This last river empties into the East Arm of Grand Traverse Bay. The nature images in the collection also include wildlife and the forests and farm lands supporting the watershed.
The 56 page soft back book sells for $20 plus tax and is available in bookstores, galleries and gift shops in the local area.
